The Super Scarf Crochet Pattern!
The Super Scarf is great for beginners, gift giving, craft fair selling, even for the men in your life! This super scarf crochet pattern works up quickly which is why you should put this on your list for this Holiday season or to stock for those busy craft shows. My hope was to make a great big scarf that was also doable for a beginner. I know I wanted to give handmade gifts when I first got started, but the things I was making were… not the best. Haha!
If you are a beginner and need all the tools of the trade, CLICK HERE for my list of tools, notions, and yarn!
The reason I think this is great for a beginner is because you only need to be able to chain and use single crochet stitches. Some other techniques include turning your work and weaving in the ends. Thankfully, I decided to make a YouTube tutorial to help with those things!

Things You’ll Need
- 2 Skeins of Lion Brand Color Made Easy or about 300 yards of any size 5 yarn
- Crochet Hook size 11.50mm/P
- Scissors and a yarn needle
- Ch – Chain
- SC – Single Crochet
- BLO – Back Loop Only
- FLO – Front Loop Only
Begin by chaining 155.
*That is a lot of counting! If you don’t want to count that high, chain until you’ve reached about 80 inches with the starting chain stretched. By that, I mean chain a long starting row and then pull on it a bit to stretch it out. Take a measurement to see if you’re at 80 inches.
Row 1 – SC in the second Ch from your hook and in each stitch across. (154 SC or around 80 inches)
Row 2 – Ch 1 and turn, SC in the first stitch, SC in the FLO of each stitch across until the last stitch, SC in both loops of the last stitch (154 SC)
Row 3 through 21 – Repeat the following: Ch 1 and turn, SC in the first stitch, SC in the BLO of each stitch across until the last stitch, SC in both loops of the last stitch (154 SC)
If you want the scarf to be wider, just keep repeating these rows until you reach the desired width. Add rows in multiples of 2.
Row 22 – Ch 1 and turn, SC in the first stitch, SC in the Flo of each stitch across until the last stitch, SC in both loops of the last stitch (154 SC)
Bind off and weave in the ends!
That’s it! You’re a pro at the Super Scarf and are all set to be warm this winter. I was going to give the one I made as a gift, but I immediately started wearing it..
